Celebrating One Year of the Podcast
This feels wild, but it has been one full year since we started our podcast! When I started telling people at the end of 2022 that I wanted to start a podcast, it felt like this big, crazy dream that was just too much. There were a million things I didn’t know or understand about how a podcast gets out into the world.
Could I actually make this happen? And even if I did learn and do all the things, who would listen? I questioned whether or not I would have enough to share to keep it going longer than a few weeks.
But God! Ephesians 3 tells us He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, and that is exactly what He has done here.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Is It Worth It?
At our most recent Renewal Retreat this past February, I was asked if creating this podcast has been worth all of the time and effort over the past year and if I would keep going with it. The answer is 100% YES on both counts, and I want you to know it’s because you are worth it.
Does the planning, writing, recording, editing, and publishing all feel like a lot sometimes? Absolutely! But the feedback I’ve received from the amazing women who listen each week – that is what keeps me going. It’s not praise for me or how awesome this podcast is! It’s praise for the message God is sharing through this platform. As long as He puts the words on my heart and in my mouth, I’ve got to show up and share them for the women who need to hear them.
So let’s do a quick recap of the episodes that have resonated most with our community over the past year.
Solo Episodes
The first solo episode was Episode 1 – Are Productivity and Hustle the same thing? Spoiler alert: The answer is a resounding NO! I started everything off with personal stories from my life when I was trying to get All The Things done.
After Episode 1, here are the top 5 solo episodes to this point:
- Episode 30 – Preparing Your Home for the Holidays. If ever we feel overwhelmed and short on breathing room, it’s definitely the holiday season. I’m so glad this one resonated!
- Episode 3 – Encouragement for the Woman Who is Drowning in Overwhelm. This episode includes the beautiful visual I found in a devotional I had been reading where you hold your worries like balloons and hand them off to God.
- Episode 18 – Giving Yourself Grace Through Seasons of Life. We’re just too hard on ourselves, sis! This is your permission slip to go a little easier on yourself.
- Episode 19 – FAQs About Balancing Family Life with Work. How do we balance it all? Is there even such a thing as balancing it, or can we come up with another concept to keep our sanity?
- Episode 21 – 5 Tips to Keep Going and Never Give Up. This has been a popular topic both as a podcast episode and a blog post, so I hope it blesses you!
Guest Interviews
Our first guest interview was Episode 2 – Slow Growth and Capacity with Mary Marantz. How did I get lucky enough to have such a brilliant author as my first podcast guest? NO IDEA. But we dove into personal capacity, why we take on too much, and tools & strategies to overcome feeling overwhelmed.

- Episode 13 – The Value of Intentional Rhythms with Michelle Goff. Michelle is an author and powerhouse women’s ministry leader! In this episode, she shares self-care tips, strategies, and tools to manage time effectively. She also dives into her own personal story to talk about creating breathing room in her own life.
- Episode 36 – The Power of Emotional Healing with Kristen Hallinan. Kristen Hallinan, author of Legacy Changer, is passionate about helping women redeem the pain of their past with the power of emotional healing.
You Are Worth It
With 43 episodes under our belt, that means there have been so many hours spent in conversation, reading, studying, writing, recording, editing, and sharing. Every single one has been worth it. I’m excited to see what God has planned for us over the course of this next year.
